VMedia Launches New Home Phone App

Home Phones Go Mobile!

Toronto, Ontario, March 27, 2019 – VMedia Inc., Canada’s leading independent telecom and TV service provider available coast to coast, is pleased to announce the launch of its Home Phone app. This new feature will allow VMedia’s Home Phone subscribers to access their phones on any smartphone, turning their Home Phone service into a virtual mobile phone.

The VMedia Phone app is available now in both Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.

VMedia Phone subscribers can receive incoming calls to their home phone number directly on their smartphone, and make up to two simultaneous calls. This means the VMedia Phone app can be downloaded to two smartphones, and both users can dial out at the same time.

The VMedia Phone app also enjoys the same unlimited calling and long distance benefits as the Home Phone – from anywhere in the world! If a subscriber has VMedia’s Unlimited Canada plan, the subscriber can call Canada from anywhere, at no cost.

All of VMedia’s other popular home phone features are included in the mobile application as well, including Caller ID with name display, voicemail, 3 way calling, and many more. Subscribers can also easily check and top up their long-distance balance at the press of a button. Unlike most other VoIP apps on the market, VMedia’s app allows incoming and outgoing calls from and to the smartphone.

VMedia’s low every-day pricing for Home Phone service is now even lower. The new app eliminates the need to purchase an adapter. Consumers can download the free app by searching VMedia Phone in the Apple’s App Store or Google’s Play Store and sign in with their VMedia credentials, or by scanning the QR code located in ‘My Account’ online. In addition, VMedia offers easy online sign-up, and there are no long-term contracts, no cancellation fees, and no credit checks.

“Everyone is painfully aware of the high cost of mobile phone services in Canada” said Alexei Tchernobrivets, Chief Executive Officer of VMedia. “Our new VMedia Phone app gives consumers a virtual mobile solution that has all of the important elements of a mobile phone, at a fraction of the price. No costly long distance, no painful airtime, and no roaming charges. We are as always committed to providing a better and more affordable customer experience.”

VMedia currently offers two ultra-low-cost home phone plans to choose from, Unlimited Canada for $15.95 per month and Unlimited World for $26.95 per month, both of which the subscriber can access anywhere through the VMedia Phone app. Beginning April 1st, Unlimited Canada will be expanded to Unlimited North America, providing greater calling freedom to all Home Phone subscribers.

Both plans come with unlimited calling, low long-distance rates for other countries, and all of the features you have come to expect from a traditional phone plan. With VMedia’s low every-day prices, consumers can save up to 40% on their monthly phone bill alone. More information on our Home Phone app can be found here.
