VMEDIA REMOVES RT CHANNEL (RUSSIAN TELEVISION), ADDS UKRAINE24 TO VMEDIA TV AND RIVERTV BASIC PACKAGES
RT, the Government-Controlled English-Language Russian News Channel, Has Been Removed From The VMedia Line Up Until Further Notice.
TORONTO, ON – February 28, 2022 – VMedia Inc.(www.vmedia.ca), Canada’s leading independent provider of residential telecom and broadcasting services, has removed RT, the English-language Russian-government controlled news channel, from its line up until further notice. In addition, it has added Ukraine 24, the leading 24/7 TV news channel from Ukraine to all Basic and Premium packages offered by VMedia TV, as well as the basic package of RiverTV (www.rivertv.ca), VMedia’s live and on demand streaming TV service, at no additional charge.

RT, operated by the Russian government, has come under fire as a key outlet for propaganda and misinformation, and is a part of the brutal war being waged against Ukrainian men, women and children.

These changes are in effect until further notice.
